A Welcome Party Speech for the Freshmen
Distinguished guests, colleagues and students:
Good evening!
We call autumn as a golden season because the air is heavy with a rich perfume of osmanthus. It is also a fully vital and passionate season of our college for we will welcome new students and absorb new power in this season. Tonight, on the occasion of 2012 Welcome Party for the Freshmen, we are acting out together the merry theme of “brandish your youth and let your heart fly”. Here, on behalf of the whole college staff, I wish to extend a warm welcome to the new students of 2012. I would also like to express the sincerest greetings and best wishes to the assiduous and ambitious students.
Dear students，college life is one of the finest stages in your life because you’re shouldering the high expectations of the times, your parents, friends and relatives. Tonight is destined to be an unforgettable night. The rich cultural ambience and the extravagant audio-visual feast will live in your memories as the finest. After it, we may have many reasons to believe that Economic Institute of Technology of Anhui Agricultural
University can and is able to do everything. Actually each of us is the glittering gold.
The world is making daily advance, so college students have to constantly improve themselves to keep pace with the times. I believe that you will bring new atmosphere to our college as fresh blood. I sincerely hope that each new member can achieve something and find their way of life in the following four years.
My dear students，our college has a number of rigorous, scholastic and experienced teachers, a League and student management team careful about students and willing to devote themselves. Meanwhile, our scientific and prefect training system can help students to be useful in the future. I hope that you can adapt to the new environment as soon as possible, learn how to be a person, how to study, how to live your life, how to absorb knowledge from every aspect, to train yourself in the society, to improve yourself in communication with classmates, and to eich yourself in every teaching and scientific research activities. Our college can not make any progress without the mutual effort of our teachers and students!
Finally, accompanied by the elegant melodies and passionate dance, let’s enjoy our students’ performance. I wish this welcome party a great success!
