In China, the Mid-Autumn festival is considered a symbol of family reunion. On this day, all the family members gather at home to celebrate this special day. Last year, I couldn't celebrate this festival with my family, because I was in college. However, this special day left a deep impression on me.
I still remember the atmosphere of that night. All the students who could not go home gathered in our classroom and held a party to celebrate the traditional festival. We tried our best to show our enthusiasm. As a minority, I performed a peacock dance and received warm applause. After the two-hour party, we went to the playground and sat together to enjoy the full moon, because it is a tradition of the Mid-Autumn festival. We ate moon cakes, played CARDS and listened to a romantic poem read by a classmate. In that harmonious atmosphere, no one feels lonely or homesick, even if we are far away from home.
Thanks to my classmates, I spent a colorful and interesting Mid-Autumn festival in college. I learned to cherish all the festivals in my college life.

On the 15th day of the eighth lunar month, everyone is told to buy cakes. When they were eating the cake, they found the note. So they gathered and made a surprise attack on the king. Since then, Chinese people celebrate the 8th day of the 8th lunar month on the 15th and eat "moon cakes" to commemorate that important event.
